Convert Chase Credit Card Statements to Excel or CSV

Use BankExcel Converter to reconstruct transaction rows from a Chase credit card statement PDF, then review the source page, dates, descriptions, amounts, and validation flags before exporting. Native and scanned PDFs can be processed in the browser; scanned pages require OCR and may need more review.

How to download a Chase statement as PDF or CSV

Sign in at chase.com or in the Chase app, open the credit card account, and choose the statements section to download a statement period as a PDF. That PDF is the document this converter reads. Chase also offers an activity download in its own online banking; that export covers a date range you choose rather than a statement period, and it is not the statement of record you reconcile against.

If you need one file per statement period with the previous and new balance attached, or you only have a paper or scanned copy, download the statement PDF and convert it here instead of exporting activity. Compare the converted rows with the PDF before importing them anywhere.

Fields the converter looks for

  • Statement period and account ending digits when present.
  • Transaction or posting date, description, and amount.
  • Previous or opening balance and new or closing balance when readable.
  • Source page, extracted source line, confidence, and review flags for each reconstructed row.

Known limitations and review points

  • Chase layouts can vary by product, statement year, delivery channel, and scan quality.
  • A credit card payment is not the same as a purchase refund; verify section labels and signs against the source PDF.
  • Dates without a printed year are inferred from the statement period and remain reviewable.
  • Low-contrast decimal points, multi-line descriptions, page breaks, and rotated scans can trigger review flags.
  • A balanced total does not prove that every description or date is correct. Review material and flagged rows before importing.

Evidence status

Last reviewed August 31, 2026. The shared parser has a synthetic JPMorgan Chase regression case for bank detection, statement-period reading, account-tail extraction, and year inference. A separate five-page scanned Chase evaluation reconstructed 61 dated rows and surfaced five rows for review plus one unreadable fee line instead of silently exporting it. This is format evidence, not a claim of universal Chase support or a published accuracy rate.

For a public layout reference, see Chase’s official sample paperless credit card statement (PDF). Chase also publishes paperless statement access instructions.
