Debit, credit, amount, and balance export as numbers you can total in Excel. When the statement prints opening and closing totals, they are compared before you download.
Text-layer PDFs keep their text. Scanned ledgers and statement photos use local OCR. Blurry pages and unusual layouts still need a human pass.
Drag and drop a native or scanned bank statement PDF into this browser tab. No account is required until you hit the free page allowance. Password-protected files are rejected.
Native pages keep their text layer. Scanned pages run local OCR. Remaining paid pages may use cloud AI repair when local recognition is unreliable. Keep the tab open on large files.
Preview mapped rows, check validation flags, then download .xlsx. Confirm a few amounts against the PDF before you file or import the workbook.
Statements are not ordinary text. Multi-line descriptions, stacked payee fields, and repeating table headers are where generic PDF converters drop or merge rows.
Printed pages and smartphone photos have no reliable text layer until OCR runs. This page reads what it can in the browser. Unclear amounts still need review.
A text dump cannot prove the table is complete. The parser compares opening balances, reconstructed rows, and closing totals when those figures are printed.
Free includes 20 pages per day. Keep this tab open until the table is ready. A dense scan can stall on a low-memory device.
A reviewed sheet is faster than retyping the statement, and slower than a live bank feed—use it when the PDF is what you have.
Clients often send scans. Reconstruct the table here, then keep working in the workbook you actually checked.
Local extraction runs first. Eligible paid sessions may send redacted page text for cloud AI repair, not statement photographs.
Export both periods to Excel and sort, filter, or pivot locally.
CSV is available from related tools; this page is the Excel path.
If the bank portal only gives a PDF image, OCR plus review is the conversion step.
Yes. The download is a standard OpenXML .xlsx workbook with Transactions, Statement Summary, and Review Log sheets. Open it in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or Apple Numbers, then confirm a few rows against the PDF.
Yes. Native PDFs use the text layer. Scanned pages, faxed pages, and JPG/PNG photos use financial OCR in this browser. Blurry or angled pages need extra review. Free includes 20 pages per day. Keep this tab open on large files.
Multi-page tables are read as one statement. Opening and closing totals are compared when they are printed. If one PDF mixes checking and card accounts, review the rows before you treat them as a single ledger. Credit card PDFs have their own converter.
Standard conversion reads the file in this browser tab. The original PDF is not uploaded to a conversion server. Closing the tab ends active processing; saved browser history and downloaded files may remain. Cloud AI repair uses remaining paid pages, not the 20 free pages. Account, card, IBAN, and government-ID numbers are masked except the last four digits. Statement photographs are not sent. That inference is not stored by BankExcel and is not used to train models.
You should still review flagged rows. Balance-chain checks catch missing math, but they do not prove every payee or date is correct. Fix those cells against the source PDF before you import or file the workbook.
Free includes 20 pages per day. Paid plans add monthly pages. Conversion runs in this browser tab, so a dense scan can stall on a low-memory device. Password-protected PDFs are not supported—unlock them in a reader first.
Read the PDF in this browser, review reconstructed rows, then download XLSX. Confirm totals in Excel before you import or file them.
